What does “猜一猜” mean in Chinese?

This whole clip is a riddle — something fragrant, white or tan, not too hard, not too soft, used when you wash your hands — and it invites you to 猜一猜: “have a guess.” Repeating a verb with 一 in the middle (V一V) shrinks the action into something quick and casual: 猜 is “to guess,” 猜一猜 is “have a quick guess.” The pattern turns commands into friendly invitations. The same move works everywhere: 看一看 (“take a look”), 试一试 (“give it a try”), 等一等 (“hang on a sec”). Dropping the 一 — 看看, 试试 — means the same thing and is even more common in speech. Either way, the doubled verb is the difference between “Look!” and “take a peek.”
