How do you say Beaulieu in English?

Beaulieu is a small village in England. The name comes from French and means “beautiful place.” But you do not say it the French way. In English, you say it like “Bewley” — two short sounds, “byoo-lee.” Many British place names look one way but sound very different. So even people from England sometimes get them wrong the first time.
