What does “no exageres” mean in Spanish?
Crossing the bridge, little Luciana panics: “¿y si se cae el puente?” Her mum brushes it off — Luciana is exaggerating. The clear way to tell someone they’re overreacting is “no exageres” (don’t exaggerate) or “exageras” (you’re exaggerating), from the verb “exagerar.” In the clip the mum’s line comes out as a quick “exagero,” but the word to learn and use is “no exageres.”
