What does “opens doors” mean in English?
When something “opens doors” for you, it gives you new chances and possibilities in life. In this short clip, the speaker says “learning English opens many doors” and calls English “a key to the world.” Both phrases use the same idea: a door is a way into something new, and a key lets you open that door. These are not real doors — they represent things like jobs, friendships, travel, and education. This type of language is called a metaphor.
