What does “zero faith” mean in English?

When the noodle tower finally stands on its own, the creator says: “I can’t believe that worked. I had zero faith.” Faith here means belief or trust that something will happen. Zero faith means no belief at all, not even a little. English often puts “zero” in front of a feeling or quality to say there was none of it.

The pattern repeats everywhere: “zero interest” (not interested at all), “zero patience” (no patience left), “zero tolerance” (accepting none of something bad). It’s stronger and more casual than “no faith,” because “zero” feels blunt, like a number reading exactly nothing. Use it when you want to sound surprised at your own doubt turning out wrong.
