What does “ohne Umschweife” mean in German?
Anna is describing how people talk at German workplaces: “Deutsche sagen meistens direkt, was sie denken, ohne Umschweife.” Ohne Umschweife means saying the thing straight, with no long warm-up or polite padding first.
