What does “vientos” mean in Mexican slang?
¡Vientos! is Mexican slang for “cool,” “great,” or “all good” — an exclamation of approval that has nothing to do with weather despite literally meaning “winds.” The leading theory: it’s a playful stretch of bien (“good”). You’ll hear vientos pues to close a deal (“cool, then”) or just ¡vientos! to signal enthusiasm. There’s even an intensifier: vientos huracanados, “hurricane winds,” for when something is extra great.
