How do you say “the one who ate the most” in Spanish?

Spanish doesn’t need a special superlative form to say someone did the most of something — el/la que más plus any verb does the job. In this clip, a friend who brought nothing to the party gets called out, brushes it off with “las ganas de compartir,” and then the group delivers the punchline: “fue el que más comió” (“he was the one who ate the most”) and “fue el que más bebió” (“...drank the most”).

Swap in any verb and the same shape works: “fue el que más habló” (talked the most), “fue la que más trabajó” (worked the hardest) — no separate superlative ending needed, just el/la que más plus a plain conjugated verb. It’s also a favorite for teasing: pointing out that the one person who showed up empty-handed somehow ate and drank more than anyone who actually contributed.
