What does “umwerfend” mean in German?
When a judge says the cake is “umwerfend im Design,” he means the design is stunning — so good it almost knocks you off your feet. The word literally points to “knocking over,” but people use it as warm, strong praise: a look, a smell, a taste, or an idea that hits you hard in a good way. In this clip it is pure admiration.
